Chosen for Communication Arts Design Annual!

Communication Arts No 54

We had the honor of being picked by Communication Arts as best in trademark design this year for our viking spoon. Our trademark spoon appears in their annual Design issue, No. 54.

Communication Arts, or just CA for those in the know, was founded in 1959. CA is the Vogue of the design world. It’s considered the premier source of information and inspiration for those working in visual communication — graphic designers, art directors, design firms, corporate design departments, advertising agencies, interactive designers, illustrators, and photographers.

Being selected for the Annual issue is an honor. Design is incredibly important to us. If you want to read about the obsessive thinking that goes into our product design (and color choice), read Smári’s blogg post, Obsession or Just Everyday Yogurt Packaging Design?  And if you want to order a copy of issue No. 54, you can do so right here. (Also in the issue is a profile of self-taught photographer-turned-illustrator, Rory Kurtz, who is creating haunting portraits with pen, paper and Photoshop on the shores of Lake Michigan.)

Congratulations to Brian Steele, Gerald Lewis, Carl Loeb and GRAND for their great work! We are proud to work with you guys. And thank you, Communication Arts, for recognizing our product’s design!
