ALL THINGS SMÁRI

From our kitchen to yours!

carri_kitchen

We’ve all been doing our Dr. Oz darnedest to buy, cook, and eat healthier foods. Taking time to make food that’s good for our body is also good for our spirit. That’s why we are excited to share our newest project straight to you from Smári HQ.

For several months now, we have been working with the talented chef, Carri Wilkinson, to develop an ongoing series of recipes to celebrate yogurt and its versatility. Carri crafted each recipe using only the best ingredients, and we are flattered our yogurt is on her list of kitchen staples.

We invited Carri to Smári’s country home to help us cook and photograph this first series of recipes. It was a daylong flurry of prepping, cooking, and laughing. We were tired when we wrapped the shoot that night, but we couldn’t help but feel inspired by the amazing food we’d just created.

Beginning this week, a new recipe (and photo!) will hit these pages every Friday morning. Try them out and then let us know what you think.  We’d love to hear from you!

Thank you to our dedicated Smári team for making this possible:

Carri Wilkinson
Patrick Murray
Gina Brodie
Jess Campbell
Erin Eisenhaur

And  a special thank you to those outside of Smári’s walls that tested this round of recipes:

They point out that Icelandic yogurt "has even more protein per ounce than the Greek varieties." Thanks...[MORE]

Natural Health Dubs Us a Standout!

Health and wellness magazine Natural Health says we are a standout product, packed with protein. To readers they recommend swapping out the old standby foods for healthier supermarket standouts. And, guess who is one of those standouts? Icelandic yogurt! "Creamy and supremely tart, the Scandinavian dairy staple serves up a whopping 17 to 20 grams of protein per six-ounce nonfat serving."  Thank you, Natural Health! Read all about it [MORE]

Our yogurt got a cheery mention in this month's issue of Every Day with Rachael Ray. The magazine told readers to shake up their grocery lists by checking out some new buys...like us! They recommended our yogurt for being fat-free, packed with protein, as well as thick and tangy. Read more here.
