“Work hard, play hard” pretty much sums up why we celebrate Labor Day weekend in the U.S. It’s a time when family and friends get together to eat, drink, and pretend summer didn’t pass them by because they’ve been holed up in their cubicles since Memorial Day.

Whether you were able to snag the last campsite at the lake, or decided to skip traffic and staycation in the backyard, you’re going to want some food that’s on point for your “so long summer” celebration. From appetizers to cocktails to entrees and desserts, check out our favorite Labor Day recipes, made more delicious with Smári yogurt.

This has to be the perfect summer refreshment: a smoothie-cocktail that tastes like Key Lime Pie. But that’s not the only reason we love it. This icy, sweet-tart libation has over 13g of protein per serving!

Yes, there is such a thing as a healthier spinach dip. Try our take on the ultimate party dip. It’s as irresistible as the old-school version — we promise.

The perfect party finger food.  Three delicious recipes for a classic appetizer using Smári Pure. You’ll have a hard time choosing just one to serve.

Easy to make ahead, these flavor-rich dips are as healthy as they are delicious. Serve ’em up with vegetables, chips, or pita wedges. Yum!!

Healthier than the fried version, these wings are every bit as flavorful. Make ’em spicy or mild, but be sure to make enough. They’ll go quickly.

A perfectly grilled rib eye with horseradish sauce on the side. So long summer.

This is not your mama’s potato salad, but it may soon be, once she try’s it! The Dijon vinaigrette, fresh herbs, and green beans make this Labor Day classic extraordinary. Make it ahead the day before to let the flavors meld. You can loosen it with a splash of milk just before serving.

These corn and cheddar muffins are loaded with cheese, which automatically places them high on our list of favorite comfort foods. If there are any leftovers, grab one for breakfast the next day.

Imagine biting into a crispy layer of goodness to find a chocolaty chewy center. Irresistible, right? Well, this recipe makes that cookie.

Light, and not overly sweet, you can enjoy this cake anytime of day – even for breakfast. Make it ahead, it’s best the next day.

Who knew making something so rich, creamy and decadent could be so easy? Did we mention it’s packed with protein too?
