Eat, Sip, Trip: America is Becoming Obsessed with Skyr

Culture and travel website Eat Sip Trip recently interviewed Smári in their quest to understand the ever growing demand for Icelandic yogurt in the U.S. What did they find? Well, you can read all about America’s obsession with Icelandic yogurt here, but we’ll paraphrase the findings for you: higher protein, creamier texture, and lower sugar are important criteria to yogurt connoisseurs. As it so happens, those same criteria are the defining characteristics of Icelandic skyr. Now who’s gonna pass up creds like that in the dairy aisle?
