It’s been quite a journey

Halló there.  You found our site, and our Blogg. You’re probably wondering what we are all about. Well, let me tell you:

It all started 1138 years ago, when a Viking Chieftain named Ingólfur Arnarson sailed from Norway to Iceland and became the first settler on that little island. Iceland was, and is a harsh place to live and powerful nutrition was hard to come by. They would skim the cream off milk and either drink that fresh, or make butter which was eaten in large quantities. What was left was the non-fat milk which was left to culture and then strained, strained, strained, until you had an incredibly thick, creamy yogurt that was loaded with protein. Icelanders called that skyr.
